The Hausa Fulani Peace Forum, Borno State chapter, has advised retired Major Hamza Al Mustapha, the former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, to run for the presidency in the 2019 general elections.
Leaders of the group stated this when they received him in Maiduguri at the weekend.

The state Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Ibrahim Sarki Hausari, also reaffirmed their loyalty to the Green Party of Nigeria (GPN), of which Al-Mustapha is the national leader.
He also reassured that the members, leaders and supporters of the forum would continue to support and rally round the GPN to usher in new young generation leaders that would further move the country forward.
Al-Mustapha, who was in Maiduguri to attend the wedding ceremony of the daughter of his friend, Zanna Deribe, and open the state party office, thanked them for the reception.
