Akure, the capital City of Ondo state is expected to play host to, among other dignitaries, the Governors of the 36 states in the country including Abuja, the Federal capital territory for the public presentation of a book on the outgoing Governor of the state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, titled, Mimiko’s Oddyssey : A Biography of Revelations, written by Prof Olu Obafemi.

According to the state Commissioner for Information, Mr Kayode Akinmade who briefed newsmen in Akure on the development, said that former Governors, including the former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, formers ministers are also expected at the event.

Akinmade said the presentation of the publication on the former Minister, Olusegun Mimiko will take place Wednesday at an event where Prof, Oladipo Olujimi Akinkugbe will be Chairman.

A Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford University in 1964. Prof. Akinkugbe served in various capacities in developmental and health organizations both locally and internationally.

The book, Mimiko’s Odyssey was written by Professor of English and Dramatic Literature, Olu Obafemi, who is a literary scholar, playwright, novelist, poet and theatre Director, Olu Obafemi, who is also a Fellow and Vice President of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL), the Nigerian English Studies Association and the Society of Nigerian Theatre Artist.
