The former Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Donald Duke and wife, Onari, hosted the traditional wedding of their first daughter, Xerona and Derin Phillps, the son of Engineer Lanre and Chief (Mrs.) Teju Phillips, and the grand son of international business mogul, Ambassador Deinde Fernandez.
The ceremony was held at the private residence of the Dukes in Calabar, Cross River State and it was an admixture of Efik and Yoruba cultures.
Dignitaries in attendance included, Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II HRM. Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V Obong of Calabar, Aliko Dangote, Abdul Samad Rabiu, Akinrogun Segun Osoba, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Wale Babalakin, SAN, Sam Iwuajoku, Segun Awolowo, Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi and wife, Wunmi, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, Asue Ighodalo, Chief Francis Ogboro, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Ibok Ekwe Iba, Senator Gbolahan Dada, Professor Fola Aboaba, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Pelebo Banigo, Biodun Laja, Kofo Olugbesan, Shade Balogun, Foluso Phillips and many others.
