The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Sunday visited the Abagena Internally Displaced Persons Camp located along Makurdi/Laafia Road to mark this year’s Children’s Day.

During the visit, the Senate President assured Nigerians, especially the people of Benue State, that the Senate would get to the root of the killings across the country.

He explained that the Senate had already engaged security agencies to see how to ensure adequate security in the country and promised that the Senate would continue in this direction until peace reigned in the country.

“No one should be happy seeing our children here and feel comfortable. We came to give you hope; it will come to pass; you will soon go back home,” Saraki added.
