Honour For The Female Industrialist: Sade Okoya Bags Inspiring Executive Woman of The Year Award In London (PHOTOS)

For her contribution towards the growth of manufacturing within the business industry in Nigeria, Chief (Mrs) Folasade Naimat Okoya, has been honoured with the Inspiring Executive Woman of The Year Award, by the University of Ibadan Alumni Global Network.

Folasade, the wife of foremost industrialist, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya, was honoured for her efforts in making the Eleganza brand one of the best in Africa. In the last five years, the formidable manufacturing company has diversified and now produces top of the range products like chairs, tables suitcases, traveling bags, coolers and several other household items, which, hitherto, used to be sourced from abroad.

The event, which took place at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London, was hosted in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the University of Ibadan.

Notable among dignitaries, who graces the event were, Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi 111, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Keno, Mr Adesola Adedutan, the CEO of First Bank Nigeria, Senator Kabiru Gaya, Senator Barau Jibrin, Ambassador George Oguntade, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and his wife, Modupe, Ambassador George Umo, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to The Vatican, Ambassador Walter Carrington, Ambassador Mobolaji Ogundero, the deputy ambassador to Germany and many others
