Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the Senior Pastor at the House on The Rock at the weekend, hosted another successful edition of African Praise Experience.
The massive turnout of many worshippers at the concert is a testament to the huge followership Adefarasin commands with his annual concert in Nigeria, irrespective of the different Christian denominations.
Friday was a day many in the city of Lagos will not forget in a hurry as the highly anticipated T.A.P.E (The African Praise Experience) concert serenaded many with sounds and ethnic rhythms. The African Praise Experience is an annual music concert headlined by a joyful assemblage of people through music, dance and praises, with the combination of word, worship and wonders as indigenous gospel acts lit up the African Praise Experience.
The night started early as worshippers trooped in their numbers to the Rock Cathedral grounds, Lekki to secure seats. The programme started with prayers for the smooth flow of the evening and also for the nation.
There were performances by top gospel acts like Sammie Okposo, Onos, Frank Edwards, Chioma Jesus, Midnight Crew, Ada, Eben, Bukola and the Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir (LMGC).
Convener of T.A.P.E and the Metropolitan Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, briefly shared on ‘The Miracle on the Blind Side’ where he shared about the blessings of God that come when it is least expected.
He admonished congregants to fight for the joy in God and to live exemplary lives.
Prayers were also led for the country, its leadership and for peace in certain regions of the country.
Special guests in attendance included representative of the Lagos State governor, Mrs. Oyinda Ogunsanwo; former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Peter Obi; former Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje and his wife; MD/CEO of Fidelity Bank, Nnamdi Okonkwo and wife; among many others.
The programme also featured energetic segment, FEARLESS in Concert, headlined by the Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme crew; with award-winning American singer, Travis Greene also performing. The ‘Agidigba’ crooner was in his elements as he ministered two brand new songs off his forthcoming album.
