There is no limit to the antics of desperate and sinking yesterday’s men and women. I wouldn’t have paid any attention to this nonsense but for the fact that so many credible people have been inundating me with phone calls all morning, so many bloggers seeking me out like they can’t find their way to the media team of El Rufai in Kaduna. I didn’t know that I would have to issue a statement on such an obvious fabrication.
Makes me think of Wole Soyinka’s famous line – “anybody who believes this is a…”
So, let me address the mischief maker directly.
Hajia Desinatu – face your wahala and stop instigating ragsheet news outlets to publish stupidity about those who now have work to do. Stop preying on the sensibilities of the Nigerian public. You know what you are doing. You know that there is zero truth to the nonsense you have caused to happen on the public sphere this morning as a “breaking rumour”. You know that nobody has declared 90 billion naira and 40 houses anywhere. You also know that there are folks ready to run away with that sort of news without doing due diligence. None of them will be able to link that rag to you. Of course.
Some of us will criticize whoever is in office without fear or favour whenever and wherever there is substance and that includes Nasir El Rufai. There is zero truth, nada truth, to this rubbish you have instigated, Hajia Desinatu. That publication is a flat out lie, the claims are an absolute hogwash. Go and continue to wear your Hajia regalia to begging places in Abuja and stop causing wahala.
Go and face your impending case with Buhari and the institutions of the Nigerian state. With any luck, the judiciary may do you a good turn like they did FFK.
