Nigeria’s celebrated Queen of style, Olori Sekinat Aramide Elegushi, the beautiful wife of prominent Lagos monarch, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kushenla 111, is bereaved.
Her state of grief is occasioned by the death of her mother, Alhaja Ramota Ashabi Oshodi, last weekend, on Saturday, 6 October, 2018, after a brief illness. She was aged 62.
Alhaja Oshodi was buried on Sunday, 7 October, according to Islamic rites, at the Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi. The third day Fidau prayer was thereafter held for her on Tuesday, 9 October, 2018.
The eight day Fidau is slated to hold today, Sunday, 14 October, at Ruby Gardens, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lekki, Lagos. The colour dictate of the day is white and royal blue.
The deceased is survived by four children and many grandchildren.
Fondly called Mama Pupa by her loved ones, Alhaja Oshodi was regarded as the pillar of the Oshodi family dynasty. She was a role model to many women, held the home front with dignity, class and distinction, and most significantly, she was a friend to all her children’s friends.
Her quintessential conduct distinguished her as a woman of fantastic background, nurtured in the emulative indices of a unique thoroughbred. She was calm and unassuming, always beaming with smiles at people and making sure one felt at home in her presence.
She would be sorely missed by all.
