Speaking on the theme, “Life and Living: Examining The Essence”, the Guest Lecturer, Dr. Christopher Kolade said, “When we start our life, we soon discover that God has made other people as well: so, we are not alone, and meaningful life has to include the ways and means by which we relate to other people whose lives will touch ours at various times.” He further explained that, ” Because God is the Source of life, and it is a gift from Him, we need to look at the essence of life from His perspective. Here again, the word of God is our best guide; and we are fortunate that Jesus Christ said so much about life during His Physical earthly presence.” He closed his lecture with a Poem and wished @pastoreaadeboyeofficial a Happy Birthday.
Pastor Folu Adeboye who represented her husband thanked the organising committee, the Guest Lecturer, the Vice Chancellor of Unilag who served as hosts for the occasion and also all the participants in attendance. She further thanked God in particular for the life of Dr. Christopher Kolade and the wonderful words of wisdom given in his speech. She advised everyone to take more time in studying the lecture given. She then led everyone in prayers.
Professor Ademola Ayodele Oremosu, Professor Risikat Oladoyin Dauda and Professor Oluwayemisi Ayedun Obashoro-John all of University of Lagos served as Panel of Discussants for the Lecture delivered.
The Public Lecture was organised by the RCCG, Triumphant Elders Forum in a way to celebrate God in the Life of Pastor Adeboye as his birthday approaches.
