Tinubu, Gbajabiamila, Sanwo-Olu Hail Mutiu Are At 61

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated a chieftain of the party in Lagos State, Alhaji Mutiu Are, as he marked his 61st birthday yesterday, April 18, 2020. 

A formidable grassroots politician, Are is reputed for always working behind the scene in ensuring the progress and success of the party in Lagos State. He is a prominent member of the Governor’s Advisory Council, GAC, the highest decision-making organ of APC in Lagos, and he is the board chairman of the National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research, New Bussa, Niger State.

In a congratulatory message signed by Tinubu and made available to The ELITES, he described Are as a staunch progressive, reliable associate and loyal party member. The former Lagos governor commended Are for his immense contributions towards the progress of his community and for propagating the beauty of Islam with all the resources at his disposal. He also prayed for the celebrant to continue to enjoy God’s grace and blessing. 

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Right Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila also rejoiced with Are, on his 61st birthday.

Gbajabiamila said the APC family, especially in Lagos State, is proud of Are for his contributions to the success and stability of the party over the years.

In a congratulatory message, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, Gbajabiamila said Are remains a role model to upcoming politicians in Lagos State and the country as a whole.

While extolling the good leadership qualities of the APC chieftain, Gbajabiamila identified with Are’s achievements in shaping governance and public service.

“Alhaji Mutiu Are is one politician that has done a lot for the progress of our great party, the APC. He comes across as a dedicated and loyal party man, whose footprints are everywhere in Lagos for all to see.

“It was in recognition of his contributions to the party that he was made the secretary of the Governor’s Advisory Council, the highest advisory organ of the APC in Lagos State, with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as Chairman.

“I am particularly proud of Alhaji Mutiu Are for all that he has done to the party, and I know every member of the APC family in Lagos State and the nation at large is proud of him.

“As he marks his 61st birthday, I pray the Almighty Allah will continue to grant him good health and wisdom to serve the people diligently as always,” the Speaker said.

On his own part, Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanyo-Olu, hailed Are for his numerous efforts and invaluable contributions to the state as a member of the GAC and as a party chieftain. 

Sanwo-Olu prayed that the celebrant would continue to wax stronger in these roles I. The years to come, just as also abound in God’s grace and peace.
