87th Post-humous Birthday: Gbemi Saraki Remembers Father

To all of you that sent messages, best wishes, prayers to me  remembering that today is my father’s birthday.

He would have been 87 years old today and I have wondered how we would have celebrated the day were he still alive – where would we have been? In ilorin? or in Lagos?

Nonetheless the most important thing is that he is remembered and he is loved, which reminds me of the Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote on what is success:

“To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate the beauty;

To find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch Or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded!”

What more could a person ask for?

Baba Saraki succeeded.

Alhamdulillah

You are deeply loved and greatly missed
