Former governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke and his wife, Obioma celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on Sunday, August 29, 2021.
His wife posted a heartwarming message to celebrate the occasion.
Below is Obioma Imoke’s message, posted on her social media handles:
You promised to hold my hands to walk with me through the ups and downs. You promised not to just be my lover, but to be all I need you to be. And I agreed to be the bone of your bone and the flesh of your flesh on this same day, 29 years ago. We took an oath before our Lord and Creator, and our family and friends. We give all the glory to God, the One who has sustained us through it all.
Today, I testify that you are all of that and more, to me and to us. Indeed, everyone has the one that God has called their own. Sir, indeed, God has called you my own and He has called me your own.
Thank you for being all and more to me, my beloved. It is only God and it will continue to be only God.
Fate has grabbed both of our hands, and by the special Grace of God, we shall never stop holding each other’s hands, helping each other stand and walking together to eternity.
Ecclesiastes Chapter 4, verses 9-12 says, “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”
Thank you Lord for being our third person. For us, your super clan, you are truly our super hero. We love you, and as I always say, ‘I obsess you’.
May the Lord keep you for us, bless and increase you in all sides. In Jesus mighty name.
