Facebook and other social media users have been advised to avoid injurious comments as this may hinder the peaceful coexistence of the society.
Vice chairman of Bauchi State Social Media Forum Alhaji Hamisu Shehu Mashema gave the advice on Friday, while speaking to our correspondent in Jama’are.
Alhaji Hamisu Mashema explained that, these social media deals with different variety of people, as such, making provocative comments will be an obstacle to the peaceful atmosphere of the society.
He advised them to make best use of the media by encouraging moral beh aviours among people and refrain from rumour mongering.
The vice chairman, who described the significance of social networks in one’s social life, however regretted its usage.
Alhaji Hamisu Mashema also urged people to avoid over addiction while using the media to enable them perform other activities of their personal life.
He therefore called on people of the state to join the Bauchi State Social Media Forum, for enlightenment, education and information on various happenings around their neighbourhood.
