Former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Olusola Amosu has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

It was learnt that the retired air force chief has been in detention since Wednesday.

He was yet to be released at the time of filing this report.

Amosu is one of the former and serving military chiefs being investigated over $2.1 billion arms procurement fund which were allegedly diverted for political campaigns by former National Security Adviser Col. Sambo Dasuki.

Dasuki is currently facing trial for the same offence

Meanwhile, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh has been released from Kuje Prisons in Abuja.
His release followed the perfection of Metuh’s bail conditions which were on Wednesday reduced by Justice Okon Abang.

It was gathered that one of Metuh’s sureties is a former member of House Representatives.
The judge had advised Metuh to produce his completed bail documentation for approval before the close of work as he was billed to travel to Lagos.
The judge had varied Metuh’s bail conditions and ordered that the two sureties for Metuh must have properties worth N200 million in any other district of the FCT rather than in Maitama, which was stringent for the spokesman to meet.
