This is a story that many would not like you to hear and when the bubble burst in the next couple of weeks you would surely remember that we served you the gist first.

According to abujareporters.com., a team of auditors as well as investigators have unearthed a massive fraud to the tune of 9.3Bllion Dollars at the FIRS. The fraud was said to have been perpetuated in the returns by Shell and Chevron to the Nigerian tax collecting body.
We reliably gathered that the country was seriously shortchanged and the country’s oil authorities, led by the NNPC are in the know of what transpired. According to the report, the fraud took place during the Obasanjo, Yar adua years and there was no way the leadership of NNPC as well that of FIRS can claim to be ignorant of the large scale tax fraud which came iin form of large shortfalls in remitted taxes.
Already the team of investigators are due to present a petition formally to the National Assembly based on their commissioned findings. What we do not know however is who commissioned the team to investigate the fraud and what was the purpose the findings were meant to achieve since it took place over ten years ago.
