Celebrated Journalist, Femi Davies Bags Gbobaniyi of Arigidi-Akoko Chieftancy Title


imageOne of the most influential and celebrated media personalities in Nigeria, Femi Davies, recently added another feather to his cap.

Davies, a veteran journalist, an entertainment guru and the publisher of Metro News, was conferred with the title of Gbobaniyi of Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo State.
The chieftaincy ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 20, at the palace of Zakinthos of Arigidi-Akoko, His Royal Majesty, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, the and it was witnessed by a handful of family members, close friends and associates.

On hand to celebrate with Davies was his close friend, Otunba Ganiu Adams, the President of Odua Progressive Union, OPU, and Oduaa Progressive Congress, OPC. It is instructive to know that Adams is an indigene of Arigidi-Akoko, and he has, through his activism and qualitative leadership role, helped to elevate the status the town, and Ondo State in general.

Beyond being an accomplished journalist, Davies is also a political gladiator in Ogun State.
