The former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has reportedly arrived Nigeria from the United States of America to answer questions from an invitation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged N4.75 billion arms fund traced to him.
The ELITES gathered that Obanikoro landed in Lagos from the United States through Amsterdam and went to Abuja to respond to an appointment with EFCC operatives on Monday.
It was also learnt that the EFCC is investigating a company alleged to owned by Obanikoro’s sons, for receiving N4.75 bn arms funds from the office of the former National Security Adviser between April 4, 2014, and December 15, 2014..
According to EFCC source his sons Babajide and Gbolahan, received a total of N4.745 billion paid into the Diamond Bank account of their firm.
The minister arrived Abuja from Lagos by 7:45 am and headed straight to the office of EFCC to keep his appointment with the anti-graft agency.
