Fred Agbaje, the celebrated human rights activist and lawyer, is dead.

The news of his death was first published by The Nigerian lawyers.

The cause of his death is still unknown as at press time as no official statement has been issued yet.

Agbaje was shortlisted several times for the SAN rank.

His law firm, Fred Agbaje and Co. Chambers, is located in Bariga, Shomolu, Lagos.
