After showing up in the sky at the Borgu Air Force Base at about 11.42am, the Presidential Jet conveying the Senate President Bukola Saraki couldn’t land at the 99 Air Combat Group Training base in Kainji over what the Control Tower at the base described as poor weather visibility.
After hovering in the sky for more 20 minutes, the Senate President’s jet was forced to return to Abuja to the amazement of his host, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abduallhi, representing Niger North senatorial district, and other members of the Senate, who had waited for Saraki’s arrival for for close to 2 hours.
Saraki was initially billed to be the Special Guest of Honour at the 1st Barade Empowerment of Constituents for Poverty Alleviation and Employment put together by Senator Sabi Abfullahi, who is the Senate spokesman and the traditional title holder of Barade of Borgu Kingdom.
