Kogi State government yesterday said it will send a team to understudy the home grown school feeding programme in Osun State as part of preparations aimed at ensuring effective take off of the programme in the state.
Special Adviser to the governor on Multilateral, Donor Agencies and Special Project/ Focal Person on Social Investment Programme in the state, Mr Adoga Ibrahim, disclosed this in Lokoja during a meeting with education secretaries. He said the committee put in place for the implementation of the federal government’s ‘one meal per day’ school feeding programme for all public primary schools in the state has been working hard to ensure its success.
The committee will gain knowledge of the feeding programme in Osun State.
He said the state government was supporting the school feeding programme to cover all categories of pupils in public primary schools in the state.
