The immediate past governor of Kano State, Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, may dump the APC for the PDP, a chieftain of the PDP in Kano, Alhaji Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has said.
In a chat yesterday, the PDP chieftain said that reliable sources confirmed to him that Kwankwaso had been contacting the national body of the PDP about his return to the party.
“I heard from reliable sources that the former governor is planning to dump APC for another party before the 2019 general elections and most likely he is coming back to PDP,” he said.
But in a swift reaction, the APC state chairman, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, dismissed the suggestion saying, “It is not true. Kwankwaso has no plan to dump APC.”
According to him, “It is just mere speculations by some politicians that are envious of his political progress. Similar thing was said of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the former education minister, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau,” he said.
Kwankwaso could not be reached for comment.
