For former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Friday June 9, 2017 will always be a day to remember.

On that day, he decided to put politics and any discussion of it aside.
It was the day the All Progressives Congress national stalwart welcomed another grand child. This time from his well-known son, Seyi, and his wife, Layal.

The baby girl was delivered at a high brow hospital in London eight days ago.

Asiwaju’s newest grand-daughter is named Amira, Titilayo, Noella, Rose, Simisola, Ashabi, Tinubu.

The proud granddad was beside himself with joy as he cuddled the baby endlessly at the small naming ceremony at his residence in Central London.

Only a small coterie of friends and acquintances which included Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi who happened to be in London at the time attended the ceremony.

Seyi and Layal got married last year at a quiet but impressive ceremony held at the Iga-Idugaran Palace of Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu.

It was in deference to the request of Seyi, a lawyer, that the ceremony be low-keyed.
