The ceremonies have ended. The husband has taken his wife home, savouring without restrains or inhibitions each other’s warmth and company, as the process of increasing Nigeria’s population is intensified.

It was a spectacular show of glamour and opulence in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, by the elite members of the Nigerian society, politicians, captains of industries and service chiefs who thronged the ancient city for the society wedding of the daughter of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Miss Ayomide Amosun, and Mr. Oladipupo Dabiri; son of former House of Representatives member and Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, on Nigerians in Diaspora, Abike Dabiri – Erewa.

Interestingly, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi would never forget the event in a long time. Ooni had undiluted fun, no doubt. But the fun was cut short when someone stole his mobile phone and that of his brother-in-law, Jide Fadairo. Ooni Ogunwusi was very much upset by the incident. His emewas (palace guards) were more devastated. They wept and wailed like banshees. But there was nothing they could do about unraveling the mystery behind the theft.
