Ortom’s 2019 Posters Flood Makurdi

Re-election campaign posters of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, yesterday, flooded Makurdi Metropolis, the state capital.

Sponsors of the posters put inscriptions urging the first term governor to re-contest in the 2019 governorship election.

Our correspondent observed that the posters were pasted at strategic roundabouts across the city; with some of the messages alluding there would be no vacancy for any other contender.

Ortom had recently urged some youths, who told him to seek re-election that he would hear from God before embarking on another journey for a second tenure.

“The truth of the matter is what I told those people, I’m a product of divine intervention. In 1992 I told the whole world that God said I was going to be governor. In 2012, precisely 20 years, God told me it was going to be realised in 2015 and by the grace of God, with all the hurdles and the challenges that came, I overcame them and I’m governor,” Ortom said.
