Season 4 of Glo-sponsored TV Series, Prof Johnbull, Begins Airing Tuesday

Popular TV sitcom, Professor Johnbull, bankrolled by telecommunications giant, Globacom, resumes Season Four on Tuesday with a hilarious episode which draws attention to the negative activities of miscreants on the nation’s highways.

The company said in a statement issued in Lagos that the new episode titled Point and Kill which will go on air at 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes will border on the ill-advised conduct of mischief makers on highways. These miscreants, the company notes, usually pretend to be good Samaritans only to dispossess commuters of their money and valuables.
Globacom said, “We want to assure the viewers of Professor Johnbull, which has been rated as the rave of the moment programme on the Network service of NTA, that the new season will give them value for their time. The topics to be treated in the new season touch on the moral needs of a society like ours, giving all of us reason to go back to our valued cultures, traditions, and customs even as members of a dynamic global village”.

According to the network, “Point and Kill, the first episode of Season Four deals with a very germane issue and its relevance lies in the fact that many unsuspecting members of the public have fallen victims to the antics of these agents of harm who stand on the highway to raise false alarm with the intention of defrauding their victims”.

The protagonist in the engaging sitcom remains Nollywood legend, Kanayo O. Kanayo, (KOK), while other characters include his “son,” Churchill (Jnr. Pope Odonwodo), the restauranteur, Olaniyi (Yomi Fash-Lanso), Samson (Ogus Baba), Ufoma (Bimbo Akintola) and Abadnego (Martins Nebo).
As the drama unfolds, the witty Professor Johnbull tackles fraudulent mechanics on the highway, but did the miscreants have an upper hand? Why will Olaniyi abandon an established motor park to hitch a hike by the roadside? Will Samson’s street sense bail him out of the shenanigan of the street laggards?

Globacom, in the press statement, enjoined viewers to keep a date with the ‘erudite Professor’ on Tuesday while repeat broadcasts will be at 8.30 p.m. on the same TV channels on Friday.
