Exclusive: Another Benedict Peters, Aiteo CEO’s Offshore Property Uncovered

A home belonging to Mr. Benedict Peters, the owner of Aiteo Group, one of Nigeria’s indigenous oil energy companies, has been traced and found in the state of Georgia, United States by our correspondent.

The over 2000 square feet property, which is nested inside a luxury condominium community, with address at 270 17th Street, Unit 4204, Atlanta, Georgia, 30363 was purchased for $459, 000 on July 25, 2011 by Mr. Peters.

According to property records obtained exclusively by THEWILL from an anonymous source at the company that manages the residential complex and sources at Guaranty Trust Bank in Nigeria, Mr. Peters has maintained residence at the property since he purchased it via funds wired to the developers from his personal account at Guaranty Trust Bank.

The utility bills since the purchase was settled in July 2011 has remained in his name till date, according to records.

The businessman who ranks as the 17th richest man in Africa and 7th in Nigeria with an estimated wealth of $2.7 billion, is vigourously fighting allegations leveled against him by the EFCC that he acquired real estate on behalf of former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. Mr. Peters says the allegations are untrue.
