Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal was honoured with the prestigious Governor of the Year award by the NEW Newspaper. He received his award at a colourful ceremony in Lagos on Saturday evening.

Other respected Nigerians, who have made impact in their various fields of human endeavour, were also recognised at the well-attended ceremony. They include Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano, Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe, Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Professor Ishaq Oloyede of JAMB, among others.

Congratulations to all the winners, and especially to Governor Tambuwal whose silent achievements in various sectors played an important role in swaying the votes of the Management Board of the Newspaper in his favor.
