Says Mua’zu admits Jonathan’s pressure to challenge Buhari’s victory
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and publisher of Ovation International, Chief Dele Momodu, says that the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Bello Adoke, confirmed the move by former Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State to prosecute President Muhammadu Buhari over alleged certificate scandal.
Momodu also said that the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mua’zu confirmed to him last week that former President Goodluck Jonathan later changed his mind with an attempt to use the party structure to challenge the victory of President Buhari.
He said this yesterday in Abuja at the public presentation and launch of the book, ‘On A Platter Of Gold: How Jonathan Won and Lost Nigeria.’ Momodu, who was the chief presenter on the occasion, said he contacted both Adoke and Mua’azu to confirm the two different accounts contained in the book.
He quoted Adoke as saying that Jonathan agreed that he should uphold the constitution in his response.
He said that the book was an eloquent testimony of Bolaji’s writing gift, saying that the treatise would surely stir a lot of controversy.
The author of the book said it was not an attack on any personality but a scholarly effort aimed at documenting part of Nigeria’s history.
Dignitaries on the occasion included Senate President Bukola Saraki, the APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, governors Kashim Shettima (Borno), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), the Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, the Minister of Mines and Steel, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Justice Alfa Belgore, Dr Aliyu Moddibo, Engr. Segun Oni, and Ghali Umar Na’abba, among others.
