Thirteen Nigerians have been awarded with honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration by the Janus University, Califonia, U.S.A.at an event that took place at the Federal Capital Territory Education Resource Centre, Zone 7, Abuja.
The award which was conferred on the awardees, for distinguishing themselves in the service of humanity, during the just concluded Afri World Conference, was organized by Afri World Magazine.

Recipients of the award include the General Manager (GM) Benue State Rural Water Supply And Sanitation Agency (BERWASA), Engr. Ejembi Candidus Ella, the Editor in Chief, Afriworld Magazine, Fred Orinya, the National Chairman, Foundation for Peace, Economic & Agriculture Transformation, Malik Audu, Director, Code of Conduct Bureau, Agom-Tor, Ngusha, Zanna Laisu Kazalma, Secretary, Borno Emirate Council and Abubakar Yunusa Ahmad, member, House of Representative, National Assembly.
Others are, Abdullahi Haruna Illela, Chairman, Illela Local Government Council, Sokoto State, Rev. Ibrahim Shekwonya Jezhi, Pastor, ECWA Church, Abuja , Engr. Kola Balogun, Managing Director, Momas Systems Nigeria Ltd.
Prince Edwin Ochai, Chairman, Peaches Integrated Services Ltd, Mrs Stella-Rita Awelle Asogwa, M.D/CEO Zarita Fashion Academy, Dr. Nasir Abubakar Kigo, Executive Secretary, Local Government Staff Pensions Board, Kebbi State and Asiru Idris, Branch Manager, Zenith Bank, Obajana, Kogi State.
In an interview at the event, the National Coordinator of Academic Evaluation and Assessors ( WAAEA), the umbrella body that coordinates the affairs of the institution in Africa, Prof. L.A Adeyemi, said the nomination was a unanimous endorsement of the Senate of the Janus University, Califonia, USA, the governing council of the Joint University Standard Evaluation Council as well as the World Association of Academic Evaluation and Assessors.
He said the award is aimed at promoting and encouraging excellence in service delivery as well as recognizing immense contributions of outstanding personalities across the globe.
