But The Nation learnt that the duo were set free Friday morning after being held captive for 15 days in the abductors’ den, however, it is not yet clear if the family paid the N150m ransom demanded by the captors before regaining their freedom.
It is also not clear if the Police effected the release of mother and daughter.
Nofisat and Afolabi were released in less than 24 hours after Dr Tokunbo Oshin, urged Nigerians to prevail on the kidnappers of his wife and daughter to free them from captivity, saying he had become helpless about their plights.
Oshin who was a Deputy Speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly from 2003 to 2007, has confirmed the release of his wife and daughter.
