ACTDF Talent Hunt Grand Finale Holds In Port Harcourt Sept 8

All is now set for the hosting of the African Children Talent Discovery Foundation (ACTDF) ‘Unleash Your Talent 2017’ in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Friday, September 8, 2017.

The event holds at the Hub Event Centre, Odili Road, Port Harcourt by 7pm. The star-studded event will see a couple of governors attending with Nollywood celebrities and music artistes including Pete Edochie, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Patience Ozokwor (Mama G), Segun Arinze and a host of others already confirmed to attend the show.

Speaking on preparations being put in place for the epoch making event, President of ACTDF, Engr. Noah Dallaji said that following the conclusion of the zonal auditions in Ibadan, Lagos, Nasarawa, Bauchi, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu, Ekiti and Kaduna, ACTDF is ready for the grand finale of the biggest talent hunt in Nigeria.

Dallaji stated the Foundation was to initially hold the grand finale of the event on Friday September 1 but it became necessary to shift it by one week due to the Sallah holiday.

“We’re very much set to have the grand finale in Port Harcourt which would have been this Friday but because of the Sallah holiday, we decided to move it by one week. So everything is set for September 8 when we would have three winners emerge from the three different categories: singing, dancing and acting,” he said..

According to him, the programme is aimed at developing and discovering talents while integrating the participants into the mainstream of society for nation building. “Our primary objective is to showcase the talents of young people who are full of sadness because of their hopelessness but here is hope coming their way,” he observed.

The talent hunt designed into three categories will see winners go home with contract deals worth N1 million each plus cash prizes to advance their career in their areas of creativity.

“We have a winner from each of the categories and we are talking of three winners from singing, dance and acting. Each of these winners will follow us to the United States of America for exposure. Each of them will have a contract with regard to their field and they will have someone who will be there to sign them on,” he added.

Dallaji reiterated that ACTDF as an NGO has been doing a lot of humanitarian activities that have seen the less privileged being integrated into schools, taken care of through scholarship and other forms of developmental projects in communities where they need help
