The trial of a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Federal High Court in Lagos over an alleged N6.9bn fraud will resume today.
Fayose was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on October 22, 2018 alongside his company, Spotless Investment Ltd, on 11 counts criminal charge.
He had pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the court granted him bail in the sum of N50m, with one surety in like sum.
Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) represents the EFCC; while for former Attorney-General of the Federation, Kanu Agabi (SAN) and Olalekan Ojo (SAN) are representing the first and second accused persons respectively.
