Anambra Guber: Buhari To Attend APC Rally For Tony Nwoye

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to grace the grand finale gubernatorial campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress in Anambra State.
Buhari made the promise at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja Friday when the chairman of the APC campaign council, Bauchi State Governor Muhammad Abubakar, presented the party’s flag bearer, Tony Nwoye, to him.

Addressing State House reporters later, the governor said Buhari received them very well “and has promised us that Insha’Allah, he will personally grace the grand finale of the campaign in Anambra State.”

On the gubernatorial poll fixed for November 18, Abubakar said: “We’ve had our primaries and we’ve settled all the appeals, we’ve done reconciliations. It’s therefore time to present to the father of the nation, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the candidate of the APC in Anambra State, Dr Tony Nwoye.”

Nwoye said he was not afraid of the threat by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra to boycott the poll, noting that the people of the state, including those brainwashed, were being made to see reasons the election must hold.

Expressing confidence that votes would count, the APC candidate said he would run a transparent government if elected.

He said: “We want to alleviate poverty. Our local government funds are being siphoned every month since this current administration took over. Many key areas like agriculture and others are paid lip services. I’ll give them special attention if elected. We’re going to take governance to the grassroot people.”
