…Why She Was Flown To India For Treatment

These are not the best of times for Hajia Titi Aminat, the first wife of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. The Ilesa, Osun State born society matriarch was flown abroad a few weeks ago, after her health suffered a decline. According to sources, Hajia Atiku had been battling with the leg ailment for quite some time now. The situation however became unbearable towards the end of last year and she had to seek medical succour abroad.

Inside source disclosed that her husband, Atiku Abubakar initially did not want to have anything to do with the treatment due to some undercurrent family feud. However when the couple’s first child, who happens to be the Commissioner of Health back home in Adamawa State intervened, he had to budge and gave all the necessary logistic support to ensure that his first wife got adequate treatment in India where she was flown to.
The family had in recent times had its own share of upheavals as Titi was said not to have been in good terms with her husband over some family issues. For instance, it was gathered that the wife of the former Vice President disagreed with her husband over the appointment of their first daughter as a Commissioner in Adamawa State. While she okayed the appointment, her husband did not want Fatima to take the appointment.
Eventually he was persuaded and he gave his blessing.
