Fast rising presenter Amira Ibrahim-Alfa has been unveiled as a co-host of the 17th anniversary of Miss Commonwealth International Pageant 2017. The event is slated to hold tonight, Saturday, 26 and 27 Sunday November.
Participants for the prestigious Commonwealth tittles are coming from Africa, Asia-pacific, Caribbean and Euro Atlantic, which are sectors of Commonwealth.
Vibrant and vivacious Amira is a model representation of today’s young African woman. Over the last couple of years, she has risen to become the most prominent Red Carpet hostess in Nigeria.
The American born Nigerian holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from the University Of The Arts London (LCC). She passed The Performing Arts School examination in Lamda, United Kingdom, and bagged a master degree in Theatre Arts from Middlesex University London, UK
During her maters program 2016, Amira visited Nigeria and observed her internship with EbonyLife TV, as a Production Assistant, and primarily worked on the First Stars Reality Show (a competitive reality show that gave young filmmakers the opportunity to show their creativity and skills to a global audience.
Amira started school production act at the age of three and broke into the Nigerian entertainment scene at the age of nine, when she stared alongside Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs, Buky Ajayi and Bimbo Manuel in The Kingmaker, an award winning film by Fred Amata.
“THE KINGMAKER”. She then took a break to further her education in England, where she continued to train and participate in productions, such as Sweet Charity – As Nickie, OLIVER- As The Artful Dodger, Ipi Tombi just to mention few. She was honoured with the 2012 Excellence Drama award in England (Mounts St. Mary’s College Derbyshire).
Amira has worked alongside designers such as FinAfrik, Nikki Khiran, Ade Bakare, Tiannah, Maufechi, LuxuryByFeyi and many others.
Amira is currently The Face Of Africa Fashion Week Nigeria and London 2017.
Her hobbies include shopping, Cooking, Photography, Dancing, Travelling and experiencing other cultures.
