I saw the clip where the “shutup” dig got born and has now since become a trending topic.
Femi Adesina: He clearly lacks the finesse of a proactive, government-type spokesperson. As a matter of fact, he lacks the liberalism, the broad spectrum sense of perception, insensitive and has never disguised his arrogance, his sense of hubris and a disgusting paternalistic presence when objectivity is concerned! He comes across as a prickly, undiplomatic, intolerant condescending man of heavy words. Even with his quick smile tucked down under a lush moustache, he’s never stopped reminding me of an angry Walrus. He is another reason Buhari’s goodwill is rented all over the place like a totally worn garment of a village Madman. Remember he was the same dude that gave wide prominence to the verb ‘Wailer’ to the utter disgust of Bob Marley and his charismatic ‘WAILERS!’
Dede Mabiaku: an equally cantankerous fellow with an invinsible load on his shoulder- everytime! Seems to me he is always looking for a tenable spot to offload. Mercurial, dramatic, loves the gallery and a Controller who hates to be controlled! He has it in his head he’s perhaps the sole custodian of the FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI gargantuan legacy. He loves the last word like Donald Trump and he hates to yield more than an inch to anybody if it’s a public fight! The fight is never a problem with him, the arguement is never the issue but how to leave the battlefield smelling like roses. He strikes me like a keg of gunpowder ready to blow up with or without a match anywhere in sight. He must win every fight. He must be the most logical in any arguement. And that includes when he’s fighting or arguing with himself too! Remember he was the same guy that killed the dream of a wannabe Fela on a talent show years ago? He vehemently told the impressionable kid to “Shutup!” The boy, in nothing but a pair of white underwear duly shaped up and simply shut up!
Nigerians must learn to engage decourously. We must be placatingly tolerant with one another. We must stop shouting down on one another when we ought to speak softly. We must eschew the dialects of violence we were raised with! It’s hard but we can…if we try a bit more!
Between FEMI ADESINA and DEDE MABIAKU, I couldn’t make up my mind who’s to fear the most. I pity their wives, their kids and all others unfortunate to be living under their roofs! Remember one is an angry Walrus. The other is a menacing keg of Sakabula Powder!
