President Muhammadu Buhari ranked number ten on the list of the ten most-tweeted about world leaders during the first day of the just concluded 72nd session of the United Nation General Assembly, UNGA 72, held at New York, according to Twitter.
“These are the 10 most tweeted about world leaders during the first day of #UNGA General Debate”, Twitter wrote.
On the list, American president, Donald Trump; President of India, Narenda Mordi and; Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela ranked first, second and third respectively, while President Buhari who ranked number ten on the list is the only leader from Africa to make the list.
At UNGA 72, Buhari’s speech which covered different issues around the world, including maintaining global peace, cautioning development of nuclear weapon by North Korea, curtailing global terrorism, drawing world’s attention to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and Myanmar, was well received and applauded.
Mr Buhari left New York for London to resume medical treatment shortly after the meeting.
