Buhari’s Aide, Bashir Ahmad Announces Wedding Date

Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari, has announced his marriage ceremony for September 25.

He disclosed the date in a tweet on Friday, saying he is wedding Naeemah, his partner, in Katsina.

“The long-awaited day is here! @Naeeemah_x and I are delighted to invite you to our Wedding Fatiha on Sept. 25, 2020, at GRA Juma’at Mosque, Katsina. Time: 2 PM. If you are unable to attend due to any personal circumstance, kindly include us in your prayers,” the post read.

It is understood Ahmad first revealed his bride-to-be on January 1, announcing that he was set to get married on his 28th birthday in June. But the event is coming three months after the initial schedule.

Hanan, one of Buhari’s daughters, had tied the knot in a spectacular wedding with Mohammed Turad, a special adviser to Babatunde Fashola, the minister of works and housing.

The wedding Fatiha, which was billed for September 4, held at the presidential villa, Aso Rock.

As is customary, the couple received blessings from their families in a practice that had involve the reading of the first verse of the Quran in the presence of their immediate relatives.
