The remains of Sir Ajayi Olaniwun will be finally laid to rest today, Thursday, December 1 , 2016,

A release from the family of the late elder-statesman, signed by Dr. Olamijulo Ajayi said the funeral and outing service will take place at Methodist Church, Ishara Remo, Ogun State.

The funeral rites began with a valedictory service by the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch at Foyer of the Lagos High Court, Igbosere on Friday, November 5, 2016 by 2p.m.

The programme was then followed by a Service of Songs by CAN Ogun State at his Ishara Remo home, Ogun State.

On Monday, November 28, 2016, there was an official Commendation Service at the Methodist Church of the Holy Trinity, Tinubu by 9a.m.

On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, there was another Commendation Service by the Ogun State government. The body of the legal icon was received at Sagamu, Ogun State by 10a.m.

The Lying-in-state took place at Methodist Theologial Institute, Sagamu, Ogun State, Ishara Town Hall by 11a.m .

It will proceed to his home, 2 Odemo Road, Ishara Remo, Ogun State.

The Council of Knights and lay Presidents men will hold service of songs at his home by 4p.m.

On Wednesday, there was a lying-in state at his home and a Christian wake-keeping service at the Town Hall Odemo Road, Ode Remo. A pre-wake concert also took place yesterday at 5pm.
