Ahead of Procession March and Evening of Tributes for Professor Pius Adesanmi which is billed to hold on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in Lagos, the organizers ‘Friends of Pius’ say they have received confirmation from Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Bishop Mathew Kukah, Pastor Poju Oyemade and Mr. Japheth Omojuwa to speak on the theme “Rethinking Africa: Challenging the Norm” at the Evening of Tributes which will hold at the Blue Roof, Lagos Television, Ikeja, Lagos.

According to the organizers, the choice of speakers for the event stem from their pedigree for using their unique style and platforms to challenge the norms of mediocrity and irresponsibility over the years, ideals the late Pius Adesanmi lived for and taught until the end of his life.

Speaking further, Mr. Abimbola Olujide Who is the Coordinator of the ‘Friends of Pius’, “although our beloved friend and brother, Professor Pius Adesanmi died under tragic circumstances, we recognize the need to celebrate the enormous success he made of his life and how much he impacted hundreds of thousands around the world. It is only fitting therefore that even as we celebrate the colossal feats he achieved in life, we do not lose sight of what he lived for: to rid the continent of mediocrity and irresponsibility enabled by a culture of excuses. This is why we have carefully chosen a theme which represents this ideal.” Mr. Olujide said the ‘Friends of Pius’ are committed to ensuring the legacies the late Pius Adesanmi left behind are not forgotten.
