On Tuesday, August 17, the family of Nigeria’s former Vice President Augustus Aikhomu, GCON, MNI, FNIM, (October 20th 1939 – August 17th, 2011), held a memorial service in honour of the 10th anniversary of his death.
The thanksgiving memorial service was held at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, Lagos.
The service was attended by Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki; wife of former Senate President Toyin Saraki; senior pastor of Trinity House Church in Lagos, Ituah Ighodalo; Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, Yinka Ojora and senior naval officers.
Aikhomu died on August 17, 2011, aged 71. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, and five children, Mark, Eheje, Vinitha, Suzanne, and Ebi.
