The Federal Executive Council (FEC) will henceforth be meeting fortnightly, Daily Trust learnt yesterday.
The meeting used to hold usually every Wednesday under the past administrations since 1999.
A source in the Presidency told our correspondent on telephone last night that the FEC would resume meetings next Wednesday.
The source stated that the meeting would “now be holding once in every two weeks.”
Our correspondent reports that the meeting is yet to hold three weeks after President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated his cabinet.
The meeting failed to hold yesterday despite the fact that President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo were at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Information and Culture Minister Alhaji Lai Mohammed had, a fortnight ago, told our correspondent that the government would decide and notify journalists on when the council would meet.
