Former Kano Deputy Gov, Magaji Abdullahi Dies At 69

Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, with his deputy Prof. Hafiz Abubakar and other government officials attended the funeral prayers for former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Engr. Magaji Abdullahi, who died in Kano yesterday.
A former Kano State Deputy Governor under the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) from May 29th 2003 to May 29th 2007, Engineer Magaji Adamu Abdullahi, is dead.
Aged 69, late Magaji Abdullahi died yesterday at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH), Kano after a protracted illness, his former press secretary, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ahmed Ibrahim, said.

Until his death, the former Senator (Kano North) under the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) battled with illness for several years.
Ibrahim said his late boss was in India for medication about six months ago and had been to AKTH on several occasions for similar purpose.
The late former deputy governor held several political positions, including Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT, Chairman of National Centre Party of Nigeria (NCPN) (1994 to 1997), and was at the National Constitutional Conference (1995).
He was a pioneer member of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) as well as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The late former deputy governor who is survived by one wife, many children and grandchildren, has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
