As Nigerian marketing entrepreneur Kelvin Orifa set out to build his new business, some of his closest friends came together on Saturday June 17, for an evening of cocktails and canapés and conversations.
Guests ranged from top entertainment personalities to media and business executives.
The event held at Eve Restaurant in Victoria Island Lagos.
Perhaps what would pass as the most memorable moment from the night was a powerful speech by Orifa’s wife, Mary who expresses strong believe in her husband’s future.
Kelvin Orifa is the founder/CEO of EMBLUE, a new media and marketing company focusing on connecting consumers and companies in Africa and helping companies outside of Africa to access the African market.
Prior to founding EMBLUE, Kelvin was consumer segments manager for MTN communications Nigeria limited.
MTN Nigeria is the leading mobile operator in Nigeria with about 60 million customer base and part of MTN group, Africa’s leading mobile operator with operations in 22 countries.
As a brand and Go -To -Market strategy professional, he has huge experience in managing and driving consumer acquisitions and engagements using music and entertainment as a key tool.
He has worked on several new products launches, development of customer loyalty offers and music initiatives by leveraging on mobile technology to help in addressing the problem of music distribution and monetization in Nigeria positioning MTN as the largest digital music distributor in Africa.
He has spoken at various brands and music conferences in Nigeria and abroad.
He resigned from MTN in May of 2017 to focus on EMBLUE, a one-stop shop for new media and marketing communications to help organizations update their Marketing communication strategies to today’s consumers’ consumption/engagement habit.
