Centre of Excellence, Lagos will this weekend host its second show of the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour put together by the Grandmasters of data, Globacom to appreciate its teeming subscribers across the country.
Ten of the best music stars which Nigeria currently boasts of will entertain audience at the show which is billed for the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos by 4p.m. They include African Queen originator and the brand’s latest ambassador, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as Tuface; King of Street lingo, Olamide, aka Badoo; Nabania crooner, Flavour; queen of Afro-Pop, Yemi Alade; the duo of Marvin Records music sensations, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello; Africa’s most enigmatic twin musical artistes, Peter and Paul Okoye of PSquare fame; Igbo ethno-rapper, Phyno; dance hall king, Runtown.
Explaining why the show has returned to Lagos after the first edition held in the Lekki axis of the city recently, Globacom said, “we recognise Lagos as the nation’s centre of excellence, we are back in Lagos once again to delight our teeming subscribers with a full bouquet of entertainment with 10 top artistes’.
The telecommunications company added that “besides the music icons, six other stars in the nation’s movie industry such as the diva of Nollywood, Mercy Johnson Okojie and her Ghollywood counterpart Juliet Ibrahim, who will anchor the show, Nollywood legends, Richard Mofe-Damijo, RMD, Kanayo O. Kanayo, KOK, Patience Ozokwor, aka Mama G and the most celebrated Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola will make celebrity guest appearances at the event.”
According to the information and communications technology solutions provider, the unique feature of the Glo Mega Music Concert is that all the listed artistes will be entertaining subscribers absolutely free-of-charge. “The concert is, therefore, specially designed to celebrate and reward our teeming subscribers for their loyalty and abiding faith in the Glo Brand. We assure all our subscribers wherever they are that we shall continue to delight them and bring smiles to their faces”, the statement affirmed.
Globacom encouraged subscribers within the Lagos axis who are desirous of attending the show to recharge their Glo SIMs with a minimum of N2, 000 within a month and send ”MUSIC” and the preferred location to a short code 207. For example, Glo subscribers can send “MUSIC VI” to 207″ to secure invitations to the concert. The invitations are open to subscribers who attended the Lekki show but have since recharged to the tune of N2,000.
