I’ve Never Taken Any Contract From Ikosi-Isheri Council, Mutiu Are Debunks Online Report

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State and Secretary of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Alhaji Mutiu Are has debunked reports that he took contracts from Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area and did not execute the contracts despite collecting money in full.
Alhaji Are while reacting to the report described it as ‘lie from the pit of hell’ noting that the report was a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image.

“I’ve not taken any contract from Ikosi Isheri LCDA and from any council in the state for that matter. Yes, I don’t deny that I’m a business man and I execute contracts but I’ve not been involved in taking contracts from local governments,” Are, Secretary of GAC, the highest decision making body in the state, said.

According to him, he has only entered the secretariat of Ikosi Isheri Council twice since the LCDA was created. “The first time was when I had to park my car in the premises to pick some items at Ikosi market and the second time was when I was invited to commission a project in the council secretariat,” Alhaji Are said.

He took a swipe at the publication saying the writer did not provide any document to back up his allegation. “This is pure yellow journalism and pure character assassination. How can you published such without verification? It is pure libel and we all know what the law says about this kind of thing,” he said.
