Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2015 and 2029 elections Jimi Agbaje has denied dumping the party for All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr. Agbaje dismissed rumours of his defection to the ruling in a Twitter post on Wednesday.
Speculations that the 65-year-old had dumped the opposition PDP began after some blogs notorious for publishing unverified news reported that he had declared support for the APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
Dismissing the rumours, Agbaje reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP with the Yoruba words “EYIN KO LOKAN O. Nigerians lokan (It’s not your turn. It’s Nigerians’ turn),” which is a play on Tinubu’s slogan “emi lokan”, meaning it’s my turn.

He signed off the tweet with his name, PDP and Wednesday’s date to affirm that he was still a member of the party.
