Kogi APC Stakeholders Move To Reconcile Bello and Faleke

Stakeholders of the APC in Kogi State are making moves to reconcile Governor Yahaya Bello with Sen. Dino Melaye, Rep James Faleke and other aggrieved members of the party in the state.

A former acting governor of the state, Chief Clarence Olafemi, who gave the indications at a news briefing in Lokoja, expressed optimism that the latest reconciliatory move which he initiated would bring an end to the lingering squabbles that bedeviled the APC family following the death of Prince Abubakar Audu.

He noted that the move followed a meeting between him and the leadership of the party in Abuja, where he was mandated to commence the process of bringing all aggrieved parties to the roundtable.

“In fulfillment of my role as a member of the dissolved Board of Trustees of APC and one of the founding fathers of the party, I paid a visit to the chairman, Chief John Oyegun, who after over half an hour discussion gave me the go ahead to commence the process of reconciling all warring factions within the party.

“Although, some people have misconstrued my visit to Faleke to mean I am decamping to his camp there is no truth in the assertion. I have only gone there as part of the reconciliation process,” he said.
