Lagos APC Crisis: Ambode Meets Tinubu In Abuja, President Buhari Intervenes

It was gathered that the meeting, held on Friday afternoon, was “fruitful”.
However, it was also learnt that more meetings “are required to smoothen out all the rough edges, especially the issue of trust going forward”.
It was learnt that President Muhammadu Buhari has offered to intervene in the crisis rocking the Lagos State chapter of the APC and this would be done before the end of the weekend, which is between now and Sunday (tomorrow).
The crisis of confidence between Tinubu and Ambode came to the fore last week when two other persons bought the Governorship Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to unseat Ambode in the 2019 elections.
These were Jide Sanwoolu and Femi Hamzat, both allies of Tinubu.

However, the appearance of some local government chairmen in the state and members of the Mandate Group, led by Tinubu, at the declaration of Sanwoolu created the impression that the former Governor of Lagos State was backing his candidature.
