Hajiya Fatima Baru, the mother of the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Dr Maikanti Baru, has died.

Popularly known as Hajiya Umma, she died yesterday at the age of 102, family sources said last night.

Her funeral prayers will hold today after Friday prayers at the central mosque in Misau, Bauchi State.

She is survived by five children and many grandchildren.
